New construction

New-construction glass, in stages

Glass collects labels, adhesive, paint and mortar from the trades. We clean it in stages so the last clean is the last one, and we test every scraper on a corner first.

Good fit for

  • General contractors and developers

  • Condo towers nearing turnover

  • Tenant improvements

  • Retail shells and storefronts

Included

What comes off new glass

Agreed with the superintendent before we start.

  • Labels and adhesive

Manufacturer labels, tape residue and film, lifted without scratching the coating.

  • Paint and mortar

Overspray and splash, scraped with fresh blades after a test on a corner.

  • Construction dust

Rinsed before it is wiped, so grit doesn't mark the glass.

  • Frames and tracks

Tracks, sills and mullions cleaned and checked for debris.

A visit, in order

Rough, final and touch-up

Staged to follow the trades, so you don't pay for the same glass twice.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Rough clean

After exterior work, to take off the heaviest dust, paint and mortar.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Final clean

Once the trades are done with the face, with every label and sticker off.

  3. 03

Step 3: Walk with the super

Your superintendent and our lead walk the floors and mark anything missed.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Touch-up

A return visit for the marks that came up after the walk.

Limits

What we don't do here

Scratched or etched glass can't be fixed by cleaning.

  • Scratches and etching

We flag them with a photo. Replacing glass is for your glazier.

  • Work before the trades are done

We'd rather return than clean a face that will be dusty again by Friday.

  • Coated glass that marks

If a scraper test marks the coating, we stop and tell you.

Questions about this work

Can you clean before the final inspection?

Yes. We book the final clean for the week before inspection and keep a touch-up visit open after.

Do you coordinate with the other trades?

We ask the superintendent for the schedule and plan around painters, sealant crews and the elevator.

What about a sidewalk shed?

We plan around any shed. If it blocks access, the plan says how we reach the glass.
