About

A small crew for tall buildings

Feather started with one roof and a rule: nobody goes over the edge until the rescue plan is written. Twenty-five people work for the firm today, on ropes, lifts and poles.

We take fewer buildings than we could, so each one has a named lead and a schedule that doesn't slip. Our office is a short drive from the bay, and the crews know the buildings by their roofs.

  • Every building has a named lead

  • The safety director signs each drop plan

  • The office answers by name

  • We say no to roofs we can't reach honestly

The people

Six names on every building file

You'll talk to one of these people, by name.

  • Paz Altamirano

    Director of operations

Runs the schedule and answers the office line. Every building file passes through her before a drop is booked.

  • Osbourne Goddard

    Safety director

Writes each drop plan and rescue plan, inspects the gear and signs off the anchors before ropes go over.

  • Marbella Ceballos

    Lead rope technician

Leads drops on towers and trains new technicians on the roof before they work a face alone.

  • Pierrot Damas

    Rope technician

Works the long drops and runs the topside anchor check on the second line.

  • Kiran Menezes

    Building surveyor

Walks the roof, counts the bays, measures the glass and writes the bid.

  • Ajanae Colbert

    Scheduler

Sends resident notices, posts the drop calendar and texts the wind holds.
